Vanessa JueVanessa Jue, a Los Angeles native, started her modern dance training under the tutelage of Karoun Tootikian at the Ruth St. Denis Dance Foundation. She continued on to train at the California Institute of the Arts, receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance in 1998. She is a certified Pilates Instructor through Marie Jose Blom and is an apprentice instructor of the Gyrotonic Expansion System through Lisa Marie Goodwin. Her inspiration for dance is a fusion of urban, asian, modern, ballet, and the infinite exploration of the body in and through space. Her choreography has been performed by the Kaoshiung Jazz Ballet of Taiwan, La Danserie, and The Ciagio Collective in Los Angeles, California. Currently she is working with the Burlesque inspired group The Cherry Tartes, and is a co-founder of the CalArts alumni based group, The Ciagio Collective, under the directorship of Rande' Dorn.
