BETH CALARCO began her training in ballet at the age of 5. However, once at UC San Diego
she made the switch to modern and never looked back. While at UCSD she trained in modern
under Jean Isaacs and postmodern / contact improvisation with Nina Martin. After earning
her BA in psychology, she moved to San Francisco where she trained with Lizz Roman,
co-founded and performed with the dance collective Shift <<<, and performed with
Erica Essner Performance CO-OP and High Voltage Capacitor. She is currently back in
San Diego, and has performed with Jean Isaacs and local choreographers Rebecca Bryant,
Karen Rennick, and Grace Jun.
